Privacy Policy

Simple Walker is a walking navigation app. It needs to know where you are in order to tell you when to turn. That is the only reason it ever asks.
We do not sell your data, we do not show you ads, and we do not run analytics or advertising trackers in the app.
What we collect
- Precise location, and only while you are actively navigating. It is used on your device to work out which way you are facing and when to speak the next turn. Navigation stops, collection stops.
- Destination searches and coordinates. When you search for a place or start a walk, the text you typed and your current coordinates are sent to our mapping provider so it can return results and calculate a walking route. This is unavoidable — routes cannot be computed on the phone alone.
- An email address or phone number, collected once, when you subscribe, so we can confirm the subscription belongs to a real person. It is sent to a third-party verification service that delivers the code.
What we do not collect
- No account, password, name, or profile.
- No location history. Past walks are not stored or uploaded.
- No payment details. Apple handles billing; we never see your card.
- No advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking, no data brokers.
Who else sees it
Three parties, each for one job:
- Mapbox — receives your search text and coordinates to return search results and walking routes.
- Apple — handles the subscription and payment entirely.
- Our verification provider — receives the email address or phone number you give us, once, to deliver a confirmation code.
Nobody else. We do not share, rent, or sell personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Location is processed as you walk and is not retained on our systems afterward. The contact you confirm is kept for as long as your subscription is active, so we can reach you about the service.
Deleting your information
You can delete the contact you confirmed from inside the app at any time, which removes it from your device and from our records. You may also email privacy@slackwater.ai and we will delete it for you. Cancelling your subscription is handled through your Apple account settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to how it is handled. Write to privacy@slackwater.ai and we will respond. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Children
Simple Walker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and ask you to review it in the app before you keep using it.
